In the planning of the project, GEPLAN also includes the Technical Handover of the Project, Commissioning and Assistance to the Start-up of the Facilities.
As the services are completed, a process of systematic verification of outstanding items (missing items) and non-conformities begins by drawing up punch lists. These lists detail the remaining tasks and service schedules for the various areas as the services draw to a close.
The final check of the assembly and the determination of acceptance of the services are carried out through visual tests or with the aid of measuring instruments, following the procedures established by the manufacturers of the materials and equipment. This rigor ensures that all the components of the project are up to specification and ready for operation.
Commissioning is an essential activity for the successful start-up of the plant and the reliability of the installations in the operational phase. GEPLAN organizes the drafting of the Commissioning Manual, which is developed with the participation of those responsible for the maintenance and operation of the facilities installed. This manual provides detailed guidelines to ensure that all systems and equipment work as designed.
GEPLAN coordinates training activities for the developer’s staff, carried out by equipment suppliers and manufacturers. Start-up assistance is provided by the construction team, together with suppliers and the developer’s staff responsible for operating and maintaining the facilities.
With detailed management of the technical handover, commissioning and start-up assistance, GEPLAN ensures that projects are handed over ready for operation, with all outstanding issues resolved and staff properly trained to maintain the quality and efficiency of the installations.
